Beyond the Norm is a boutique company based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The name of the company playfully utilizes the owner’s last name, “Normandin”, and sets the expectation that they are anything but the usual boutique store. Using colors that are both welcoming and cheerful to set the expectation for the high-level of hospitality that it’s guests are about to receive.

Boettcher Productions LLC is my personal production company.
As a native to Michigan, I grew up camping in it’s rural northern woods and spending my earliest memories playing in the waves of the Great Lakes. As I became an adult and started picking up a camera, this admiration for the natural playground I was given naturally became a focus in my work.
Photographing landscapes, waves, and the people that enjoy them became the essence of company. My logo highlights this through the depiction of the mighty pine trees, that often surrounded my tent while camping, to the neatly crafted lines of swell making their way to our shores.

Rooted in the rich history of photographic development, "Salt & Film" reflects our deep respect for traditional processes that demand mastery and precision. These two elements—salt, the cornerstone of the pioneering salt print technique, and film, a medium synonymous with the enduring art of photography—embody the essence of our approach to social media marketing.
